we are losing one species every ten minutes on our planet - but there are a few
stories that bring hope - species that have returned to pre-nineteenth century
levels due to acts of prescience and humanity. riding the sixth wave documents the
stories of some of the animals that have returned to us, overcoming
extinctions surrounding them.
elephant seals, the nesting birds of mono lake, ospreys, great white egret, bald
eagles, blue herons and tule elk are all species that were once threatened with
extinction, yet are now at record levels surviving the sixth wave
in partnership with man.
